About

Jimmy Pulli is a visual artist working mainly with sculptural installations and light. His starting point has been wood sculpture, but later focused on exploring various materials with which he attempts to describe his surroundings, impressions of phenomena and annoyances. He has often opted to recycle his sculptural installations into new works, and worked with perishable materials such as ashes, dust, live trees and jelly. He studied fine art and sculpture at Swedish Polytechnic in Nykarleby, Finland. His works have been presented in Kuntsi Museum of Modern art Vaasa, Sofia Paper Art Biennal in Sofia, Galerie für aktuelle Kunst in Schwerin and Kunsthalle Rostock, among others. His works can be found in collections such as Ostrobothnian Art Museum and Pro Artibus foundation, and his most notable public works are located in Vaasa and Espoo, Finland.
